Village Taxes and Exemptions
The Village of North Hills tax levy is due annually. Taxes are billed June 1 and are due by July 1. All taxes received after the due date will be subject to a penalty of 5 percent for the month of July and an additional 1 percent each month until the end of the fiscal year. Thereafter, the interest shall be determined by the Commissioner of Taxation and Finance. Failure to receive a tax bill does not nullify the penalty.
Tax payments should be mailed or brought in person to the North Hills Village Hall at 1 Shelter Rock Road, North Hills, NY 11576. Any questions regarding your tax bill can be addressed by calling Village Hall at (516)627-3451.
If you re 65 years of age or older or disabled and you own and occupy your home, you may designate a consenting adult third party to receive a duplicate copy of your tax bills and notices of unpaid taxes until further notice. Applications may be obtained at North Hills Village Hall.
