A Message from the Mayor
I am pleased to inform you that a recent study by a data compiling website has named the Village of North Hills as the #1 place to live in the State of New York. The ranking was based on a number of criteria including home values, income, population density, crime and education levels. We have the lowest unemployment rate in the state, notwithstanding that the Village population has grown substantially.
In my prior message, I have indicated that we are considered by many to be a premier residential community and with this recent study, it has been recognized as such.
The shuttle service for commuters to Manhasset Station and back to Village Hall has again increased in usage this past year. The parking lot at Village Hall and service to and from Manhasset Station during commuter periods is free of charge and is exclusively for Village residents.
Our Village tax remains the lowest of the 64 Villages in Nassau County and we urge you to remit the tax when it is billed to avoid the penalties that the law requires to be imposed.
Thanks again to Deputy Mayor Sgambati, Trustees Lentini, Arnold and Cohen for their constant assistance and efforts on behalf of our residents.
Mayor Marvin Natiss
